Cycling Dumfries

Who can beat our cycling challenge?

Summer is here and we’re once more challenging the children of Dumfries (and their parents!) to see how many miles they can clock up on their bikes over the summer.

How far will your bike take you this summer?

All you have to do is turn up at any of our summer rides and pick up this year’s summer ride challenge card. Then log every ride you do – whether it’s one of ours or out with your family – over July and August. If you go to all our rides, you will clock up a total of 51 miles – which seems a lot but those little journeys add up. And if you want to emulate last year’s champion Heather Smart, you’ll have to cycle a total of 185.5 miles not bad at all for an eight-year-old!

There will be a small prize for the winner and certificates for everyone who completes at least one ride with their total for the summer. But you can’t win if you don’t take part, so get yourself down to Dock Park every Saturday in July and August  at 2pm ready to ride!
