The clocks may be about to go back, and the leaves may already be falling – but don’t despair, because that just means the start of our autumn/winter ride season. This Saturday is the first of our four planned rides – a mostly flat jaunt out to Ruthwell, ably led by John Rutherford (last year it was a bit damp but we’re holding out for better weather!). Meet at Dock Park at 10 am – a chance for a bit more of a leg stretch than our summer rides, but as always, done at a comfortable speed.
Ordinarily the clocks going back signals the end of our monthly meetings, but we’ve got quite a lot going on this winter, with the new hospital access to sort out and also a planned Christmas ride for anyone who fancies getting in touch with their inner reindeer. So we’ve decided to have one more meeting at the Coach and Horses on Tuesday 4th November – 6pm as usual. Come along for bike chat, planning, and any ideas you might have to make cycling better in the area.
