Final Call!

Just a quick reminder that this Friday will see the last of the Dumfries North West bike breakfasts. If the prospect of a hot egg roll, stupendous coffee and (of course) bike chat isn’t enough to tempt you, then you may also like to know that it will be your chance to say goodbye to Rhian Davies who has been Dumfries & Galloway iBike Officer for the last two years – and also a stalwart of Cycling Dumfries since she took up the job. As well as helping instil a joy of cycling into countless school children in and around Dumfries, she’s acted as a valuable link between the council and the wider cycling community, something that many would argue is desperately needed.

We will all definitely miss Rhian and her cheery demeanour, and wish her well in her new home in the North East and her new role with Living Streets.

Fortunately, Rhian is being replaced. The new iBike officer will be Katie Robinson, and she should also be at the breakfast, or failing that at the next meeting (Tue 7th October) at the Coach and Horses. Come along and say hello.
