Support from Local Businesses

With less than a week to go to our bike breakfast, things are rapidly falling into place (thanks mostly to the efforts of the indefatigable Rosie Rutherford).  We don’t have much in the way of money, so feeding Dumfries’s hungry cyclists would be a tall order without support from Dumfries’s local traders. So take a bow J.B. Houstons, Quality Butchers, who have just donated 10lb of bacon for the event, along with the Co-op, for covering most of the rest of it.  We’d also like to thank Kirkpatrick Cycles for agreeing to do a Doctor Bike stand, and Elite Display for creating a map display that people will be able to use to tell us (and more importantly the council) where they’d like to  see better conditions for cycling.

Now all we need are some cyclists … we’ve been flyering bikes and cyclists as much as we can – but please do everything you can to help spread the word – and don’t forget to come along yourself of Thursday
